Are ASIRS Conference Proceedings a legitimate publication?

Yes. ASIRS Conference Proceedings are published by StarNexus Science Press, a legally registered non-profit academic publisher in Hong Kong. We follow COPE ethical guidelines, operate transparent double-blind peer review processes, and all papers are registered with DOI through Crossref.

Are the proceedings open access?

Yes. ASIRS Conference Proceedings are gold open access. All papers are freely available to readers worldwide under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

Submission & Review

How do I submit a paper to ASIRS Conference?

All papers should be submitted through our online submission system. Please visit the conference website and click the "Submit Paper" button. You will need to create an account if you are a first-time user. Submission deadlines are available on the conference website.

What is the peer review process for ASIRS?

We use a double-blind peer review process. Each paper is evaluated by 3-4 independent reviewers. The first decision is typically made within 4-6 weeks of submission.

Is there a submission fee?

No. There is no fee for submitting a paper. APC is only charged after acceptance.

APC & Fees

What is the APC for ASIRS Conference papers?

The standard APC is 800 USD. Early bird registration offers special discounts, and role-based discounts are available for committee members. Please refer to the conference website for detailed APC policies.

When do I need to pay the APC?

APC is invoiced only after your paper has been formally accepted for publication. You will receive an invoice along with the acceptance notification.

Are there discounts or waivers available?

Yes. Discounts are available for Conference Committee Members. Additionally, the top 40% of accepted papers in each proceedings volume receive full APC waivers.

Ethics & Policies

Does ASIRS follow ethical publishing standards?

Yes. ASIRS Conference Proceedings follow the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) Core Practices. We use iThenticate for plagiarism screening and investigate any suspected misconduct in accordance with COPE guidelines.

What is the copyright policy for ASIRS papers?

Authors retain full copyright of their work. All papers are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), allowing users to share, adapt, and build upon the work with proper attribution.

Can I post my paper on a preprint server?

Yes. We welcome submissions that have previously appeared on recognized preprint servers (e.g., arXiv, bioRxiv). However, the final published version cannot be posted on preprint servers.

Conference Committee

How can I join the Conference Committee?

We welcome applications from active researchers with a doctoral degree and a strong publication record in their field. Please send your CV and a cover letter indicating your areas of expertise to acdm@starnexus.press.

What are the responsibilities of a committee member?

Committee members are expected to contribute approximately 8-12 hours per year, including 2-3 peer reviews, 1 invited contribution, and 1-2 promotional activities. Each committee member is supported by 1-2 dedicated in-house editors.

Can I withdraw from the Conference Committee?

Yes. Committee members may withdraw at any time for any reason. We respect your decision, update the website list promptly, and express our gratitude for your contributions.
